After more than 20 years of designing and creating teddy bears, Sandra still insists onpersonally doing all of the work in its entirety. From the very first stroke of the pen in a pattern, through the first and last stitch of each and every work of art, another very different bear is brought to "life." Her pride and attention to detail are readily apparent and quickly recognized by others. Only the highest quality of materials is used. To date, Sandra has received numerous awards for her efforts, which have also been featured in both American and British magazines. Although, her greatest satifaction was realized in l995 when she received two TOBY AWARD nominations, a program sponsored by Teddy Bears & Friends magazine and recognizing artist excellence in the field. Two of her pieces, Raggedy "Bear Ann" and "Bear Andy," were featured by Knickerbocker and featured in both Teddy Bear Review and Teddy Bear & Friends magazines. More recently, Stephen L. Cronk, well known writer and past editor of Teddy Bear Review magazine, highlighted her work. Cronk included her in his book "The World's Most Loveable Bears."
